About Brendon Bartholomew
Leadership Built in Real World Pressure. Strategy Forged in Complexity. Performance Driven by Purpose.
I have spent more than 25 years leading teams in the kinds of environments where clarity, trust, and performance are not optional. They are the difference between success and failure. My career began in Special Operations aviation shortly after 9/11, flying missions in Afghanistan and Iraq during some of the most consequential years of modern conflict. I learned early that great teams are built long before you need them, and that high performance is the result of discipline, preparation, and leadership that puts people first.
I later transitioned to the C 17A, flying global missions that ranged from combat support to humanitarian crises. That experience taught me how to lead in uncertainty. Different teams, different aircraft, different missions, different demands, and sometimes changing daily. The Air Force has a way of placing leaders into new challenges every few years. You are expected to learn fast, assess reality quickly, fix what is broken, elevate what works, and leave the organization better than you found it. That cycle of continuous adaptation and enterprise level problem solving has shaped how I think, how I lead, and how I develop others.
Over the course of my career, I have supported national level missions requiring TS/SCI and SAP access, executed operations with Tier-One Joint Special Operations Command units, and led combat and contingency missions across Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, and Syria. I supported major campaigns such as Fallujah and missions that contributed to the capture of Saddam Hussein, and I participated in international efforts to help disarm elements of the FARC. The real story is not the missions themselves. It is the people. It is the trust, communication, and shared purpose that allow teams to overcome conditions that should defeat them. That ethos has stayed with me ever since.
My path eventually led into senior leadership roles, including serving as Deputy Wing Commander for a unit of more than 3,000 Airmen and 4th Air Force Deputy Director of Operations, responsible for overseeing operational readiness for 33,000 personnel across 18 mobility wings nationwide. Leading at that scale requires more than operational expertise. It requires vision, strategic clarity, organizational empathy, and the ability to move large, complex teams toward a common purpose.
In the private sector, I brought that same mindset to my role as President of Vector Solutions, where I led the company through major growth, operational restructuring, and multi agency defense contract execution. Under my leadership, we achieved more than 1,900 percent growth and restored profitability during a global economic disruption. We built a culture grounded in accountability, resilience, and performance. Business development, P and L ownership, strategic planning, and team building became extensions of the same leadership principles I learned in Special Operations. Clarity, tempo, cohesion, and trust.
Whether in military units, corporate organizations, or emerging technology programs, my work has consistently centered on one belief.
High performing teams are built, not found.
They are shaped through expectation, trust, discipline, communication, and a shared commitment to something bigger than any one person.
Today, my focus is on helping organizations, from companies to professional sports teams to innovative startups, build that kind of performance. I focus on practical, real world frameworks developed in environments where the cost of poor leadership is very real. I work with teams and leaders who want to grow, transform, and compete at a higher level. I bring a blend of operational experience, strategic insight, and people first leadership shaped across two decades of missions, crises, organizations, programs, and high pressure environments.
Leadership is not about the title. It is about the impact we have on people, on culture, on performance, and on the future.
If you are looking for someone who can help your team reach its next level, whether on the field, in the boardroom, or in a complex operational environment, you are in the right place.
